Nigerian singer, Konga has revealed the unbelievable truth about late rapper, Dagrin.
During his performance at the maiden edition of Nigeria Beer Festival, which held at the Eko Atlantic City, the Baby Konga singer revealed to his audience that Dagrin is still alive.
He, however maintains that Dagrin is not dead as widely believed, and his presence in the Nigerian music industry remains significant.
While performing the joint single he had with Dagrin, ‘Kaba Kaba’, Konga said; “If you believe Dagrin is here make some noise! Dagrin never die oo, as a matter of fact he dey here.”
It would be recalled that Dagrin died in an auto crash on Thursday, April 22, 2010, precisely eight days after he had a ghastly motor accident before Alakara Police Station, off Agege Motor Road, Mushin, Lagos.
Earlier that year, he was nominated for the Nigerian Entertainment Awards for Best Album (C.E.O.), Hottest Single “Pon”, Best Rap Act and Best Collaboration with vocals. His album C.E.O. (CEO Omota English: Chief Executive Gangster) won the Hip hop World Award 2010 for best rap album.
Dagrin’s songs touch upon ethnicity, pride, while surviving the streets of Lagos and a hint of criticism elderly people hurls against bad behaviour.
