It was Toyin who helped bring Mayowa’s case to limelight and her intervention helped raise $100,000 and N81 million towards her treatment abroad.
Toyin’s kind assistance, however, went south when she turned around and along with popular blogger, Linda Ikeji accused Mayowa and her family of colluding to scam Nigerians.
The controversy generated by the false accusations (as it has turned out to be) attracted a lot of criticisms for the actress and she was forced to post online, her apologies to Nigerians for the way she conducted herself.
Now after the Lagos State police concluded their investigation into the alleged fraud and declared Mayowa and her family innocent, Celeb Police put a call to Toyin, to know how she felt about the new development and whether she felt she owed Mayowa an apology. The actress however refused to even talk about anything that has to do with Mayowa. “Please I don’t want to say anything about Mayowa and her issue at all,” she said to the CP agent that called her today.
