Nigerian pop star, Runtown has thrown an open shade at Mr Eazy, who moved to Ghana in 2007 and became a sensation in Nigeria after he got signed to Wizkid’s StarBoy Worldwide record label.
It all started when Mr Eazy in January took to social media to pay homage to Ghanaian music, with claims that Nigerian music is greatly influenced by sounds churned out of Ghana.
“Ghana’s influence on present day “Naija Sound” cannot be over emphasized!” the singer tweeted, adding that it is “Same way Dancehall bin influencing Global sounds! So if i say Drake’s 1 dance was heavy on WestAfrican sound influence am i wrong? Does that change the fact that both Drake & the Music is.”
As if that wasn’t enough, Mr Eazy in a recent interview shades Nigerian singers, saying they are all mixing Ghanaian sounds/words with Nigerian ones to make hit songs.
Although, he doesn’t mention names but Runtown might have felt guilty for this and he responded.
Reacting to Mr Eazy’s claims, Runtown shades the acclaimed Ghanaian singer, revealing he’s set to drop another song influenced by Ghanaian sounds.
Runtown tweeted, “Bout to drop that new sound again and pls don’t get mad when I finish what you think you started.”
